Transport
Buses
Steyning is served by Brighton & Hove service no 2, hourly from Brighton via Shoreham-by-Sea.
Compass Bus service 100, hourly between Burgess Hill (via Henfield) and Horsham (via Storrington, Pulborough & Billingshurst).
The closest bus stop to the museum is near the Methodist Church on the High street less than a 5-minute walk away.
Car
Car parking (charge) is available at Fletcher’s Croft, a two minute walk from the museum. Drop-off is possible just 10 metres from the museum entrance.
Foot
The museum is a five-minute walk away from Steyning town centre.
Cycling
A cycle rack is available outside the library.
Access
There are a few steps up from Church Street (on the west) to the museum/library area but these can be avoided by circling the library on the north side and approaching the museum from the east.
The doors will allow access for wheelchairs, prams and pushchairs.
General
Seating is available on request should you want a rest whilst visiting the museum.
An accessible toilet is available on request to the stewards on-duty.
An introductory guide to the museum is available in a large-print version.
Our Oral History Listening Posts are hearing-aid compatible and an Audioguide (triggered by QR codes and usable on any modern smartphone) provides extra information about some of the more interesting exhibits.
